Will Mayfield is from Pulaski, TN where he grew up on a small diversified cow/calf operation that is roughly 50% Registered Angus.
Will graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2012 with a master’s degree in bovine reproductive physiology. Following graduation he had the opportunity to work for Bill Bowman at the American Angus Association as a Regional Manager in the Northeast part of the country. From there, Will moved on to work with Southeast Select Sires managing the growth of the Beef Business in the Southeast and the state of Kansas.
He currently works as a Financial Officer with Farm Credit while also focusing on growing the family operation. Will serves on the Tennessee Beef Industry Council, the Tennessee Beef Cattle Improvement Association, as well as the NCBA group of Young Beef Leaders.
