Scott M. Kleberg has been actively engaged in public and private market investing for over thirty years. He is currently a principal and managing member of Windgate Partners, LLC., a private equity investment firm, investing in the lower end of the middle market. Mr. Kleberg is the principal and managing member of CA Partners, LLC., a registered investment advisor, managing alternative investments. He also acts as the chief investment officer of Bluestem Partners, L.P., a diversified family investment partnership. He was the founding principal and president of Private Equity Partners, Inc., a private equity investment firm founded in 1996 and located in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to forming Private Equity Partners Mr. Kleberg was employed by Luther King Capital Management as an investment analyst, portfolio manager and Vice President. Prior to his investment career he was the manager of an independent cattle stocker operation and was subsequently employed in multiple managerial positions from 1984-1990 by King Ranch, Inc., a privately held agricultural production and resource management company established in 1853.
Mr. Kleberg has had extensive board level involvement in both private and publicly held businesses. He currently serves on the for-profit boards of King Ranch, Inc. and Urgent Care for Kids, LLC. He also serves on the not-for-profit Boards of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Foundation and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, of which he also serves as Vice President and a member of the Executive Committee.
Mr. Kleberg holds a bachelor’s degree (BS) from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business (MS). He and his wife, Julie, reside in Fort Worth, Texas, have four married children and ten grandchildren.
Mr. Kleberg enjoys many outdoor pursuits, including hunting, fishing, pickleball, skiing, hiking, biking, and running.
