Position Title: Ranch Manager Couple
Name of Ranch/Business: Lost Creek Ranch
Location: Jacksboro, TX
Position Description:
Seeking couple to manage 300-acre high fence exotic ranch including guiding hunts and hosting guests, maintaining ranch and hunting areas, and basic maintenance repairs of property. Housing and all utilities provided. Seeking non-smokers only and applicants must agree to background check.
Qualifications:
Skills Preferred
- Basic experience with carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing
- Welding experience
- Mechanical and equipment maintenance and upkeep
- Heavy machinery operation
- Guiding and/or hunting experience including ability to price animals
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
Responsibilities:
Ranch Maintenance
- High fence and low fence surveillance and maintenance
- Varmint control
- Road and property maintenance
- Supplemental feed management
- Grounds keeping
- Equipment operation (tractor, skid steer, dump truck, excavator, bulldozer)
- Blind and feeder maintenance
- Exterior and interior cleaning of lodge and areas surrounding lodge
- Coordination and management of external contractors and supplemental help as needed
Hunting Needs
- Guiding (primarily exotics)
- Animal gutting, skinning, quartering, caping
- Weapon safety and range management
- Population census/tracking
