Ranch Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• The Paddock Transition: Design, execute, and manage the shift from open-range grazing to an intensive paddock-based rotation system to maximize veld utilization and carrying capacity.
• Infrastructure & Asset Management: Oversee the rollout of new fencing, water reticulation, and road infrastructure. Manage the ranch’s heavy mechanical equipment and vehicle fleet.
• Herd Health & Breeding: Enforce strict bio-security and herd health protocols. Drive improvements in reproductive outcomes, calving rates, and overall animal husbandry tailored to a paddock system.
• Data: Shift the operational culture toward data-driven decision-making, ensuring accurate tracking of herd movements, health metrics, and asset utilization.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop a large local workforce, instilling a culture of discipline, accountability, and operational excellence.
