Position Title: Chief of Operations
Name of Ranch/Business: Coleto Cattle, LTD´Lantana Ridge Farms
Location: Goliad, Bee County, Texas
Position Description: We are a trust owned, family operated agribusiness located in South Texas. We have row crop farm ground, rotational grazing cow-calf operation, and hunting Our operation has long been profitable and slowly expanding. The position consists primarily of day to day management of the cattle, fencing, water, and ranch infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the field with livestock management
- Working knowlege of all fencing types and construction
- Experience with water wells and related operations
- Operate and maintain tractors, skid steer, atvʼs , trucks
- Basic welding is a plus
- Strong working knowlege of forage and brush management in South Texas
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Feeding and care of the cattle daily,
- Operate and maintain farm equipment
- Plan and manage pasture rotation
- Schedule and conduct cattle processing and shipping
- Keep pasture records
- Manage summer interns
