Our vision is to educate leaders in the ranching industry and ensure that our hard-earned heritage is not lost. Through the only Master of Science in Ranch Management program in the world and dynamic ranching learning opportunities of our lectureships and symposia at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, we are committed to our vision. Master of Science in Ranch Management
If you would like to be part of our mission, learn more about applying to the Master of Science in Ranch Management program here. We are currently accepting applications to the two-year program. Selected students will receive annual scholarships that total between $76,000 to $88,000 during their time in the graduate program.
A critical learning opportunity for our master’s students includes the internships and service-learning project work. Our students are tasked with a real question, problem, or issue facing a partnering ranch. Students assist management and ownership in creating a plan or a solution, which offers students an incredibly beneficial learning experience while serving as consultants. In turn, the partnering ranches benefit from the students’ practical ranch management experience and in-depth training in business management.
Rancher Learning Opportunities
You can also learn more information about our lectureships here. These are two- to four-day events that offer ranchers and stakeholders in the industry hands-on and applied learning opportunities. Lectureship topics range from business and accounting to genetic technology and prescribed burning. The highlight event of the year is our annual Holt Cat® Symposium on Excellence in Ranch Management. This program reflects a timely topic facing the industry. It also includes the presentation of the year’s Texas Farm Credit Certificate in Advanced Ranch Management recipients, an evening social and dinner, and an in-depth tour of the legendary King Ranch. Learn more information about the annual symposium here.
