Texas Farm Credit Certificate in Advanced Ranch Management at KRIRM
Texas Farm Credit Certificate in Advanced Ranch Management
The Texas Farm Credit Certificate in Advanced Ranch Management is a certificate option for individuals who wish to complete multiple events. All lectureships and symposia offered count toward the certificate.
The Texas Farm Credit Certificate in Advanced Ranch Management, established in 2008 with a generous donation from Texas Farm Credit, prepares ranchers and landowners to deal with complex issues in today’s ever-changing ranching industry. It is designed for working professionals who wish to continue their education through symposia and lectureships.
These lectureships are designed for anyone directly or indirectly involved in the ranching industry. Our goal is to enhance the environment of the ranching industry by educating not only ranch managers, but educators; ag loan officers; accountants; local, state and federal agency employees such as NRCS and BLM; landowners; extension educators and consultants. The concepts covered in our lectureships range from hands-on field training in topics such as prescribed burning, grazing and equine management, and the more technical and business operations of ranches like human resource management and management of mineral rights.
Lectureships are available online and are held on the campus of Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Others are offered at a variety of locations, which have included Oklahoma, Florida, Montana, and South Dakota.
