Position Title: Ranch Operations Director

Position Description/Responsibilities:
Precise Capital is seeking an experienced ranch manager to fill a Ranch Operations Director position to manage operations and execute improvement projects across three different hunting and cattle ranches in Texas. The company’s ranches are located in Coleman/Callahan Counties (20,000 acres), Parker County (700 acres), and Fannin County (4,000 acres).
Projects include native grass improvement, mesquite and prickly pear mitigation, selective timber clearing, creation of managed wetlands, ranch road construction, new home construction, wildlife habitat / hunting improvements, water infrastructure installation, construction and remediation of ponds and lakes, fencing, entryway construction, etc.
The position is envisioned to be based in Fort Worth with significant time spent at the company’s ranches.
Qualifications:
- Significant project management experience
- Experience managing hunting / cattle ranches, preferably managing multiple ranches concurrently
- Experience with cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting
- Comfortable with a hybrid in-office/outdoor work
Responsibilities:
- Implement systems and processes across three ranches that drive efficiency, accountability, and productivity
- Create and maintain ranch-specific budgets and cost-tracking
- Manage all ranch personnel in day-to-day operations and project execution
- Plan and execute capital improvement projects such as habitat improvement, road construction and water infrastructure
- Maintain real-time digital ranch maps with historical and future projects defined
- Utilize spreadsheets to model project workflow and track key milestones/bottlenecks
- Engage with experts on infrastructure, range/habitat, wildlife management and capital improvements to implement programs as needed
- Assist in due diligence on future ranch acquisitions
