Position Title: Ranch Manager
Name of Ranch/Business: The JasperRuth Ranch LLC
Location: Catarina/Encinal, Tx Webb County
Position Description: Under the supervision of the landowner, the ranch manager performs physical outdoor work on approx. 8,500-acre ranch with cattle and wildlife. There is also a leased property that is approx. 30,000 acres included in this position. This work is often performed from all terrain vehicles and/or trucks. It requires knowledge to run heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, motor graders, skidsteers, sky tracks, and tractors. They must be able to drive truck and trailers.
This position is required to live on the ranch, so living quarters will be provided. Ranch truck provided, cell phone provided and health/dental insurance.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Basic, Math, reading and writing required
- Good Communication skills
- Self Motivated and able to be self directed
- Able to handle the heat of South Texas
Responsibilities: This work includes but not limited to:
- Maintaining feeders for all wildlife (Protein, cottonseed and corn)
- Clearing roads
- Checking and repairing water pipelines, electric pumps, float valves for all stock tanks and earth ponds
- Checking All Fence Boundaries and fixing and maintaining them
- Maintaining and development of feed plots
- Maintains and communicates supply needs
- Manages any employees on the ranch in a positive and cohesive manner
- Maintaining the grounds of all Ranch buildings: 5 houses and 4 barns
- Must communicate well. English required Bilingual a plus.
Estimated Salary: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 DOE
