Position Title: Ranch Manager
Name of Ranch/Business: Catarina Ranch LP
Location: Catarina, Texas
Position Description: The ranch employee lives on the ranch and is responsible for monitoring the cattle, wildlife, property and equipment. Employee has a wide range of responsibilities dealing with most aspects of the ranch and is tasked with communicating information about the ranch to the administrator or ranch owner.

- 5 years- experience in ranch/ag field preferred but not required
- Must be able to work independently
- Should possess basic mechanic and welding skills

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
General Ranch
- Oversee any employees
- Oversee all equipment and structures
- Repairs done if able to repair
- Replacement
- Maintenance and cleaning of all equipment
- Maintain well house and water cistern
- Communicate with electrical companies
- Communicate with well companies
- Check water wells to make sure they are operational whenever needed
- Communicate with general contractors
- Fence builders
- Road contractors
- Predator control
- Maintain and upkeep of owner’s home
- Yard maintenance
- Inspection of interior
- Waste disposal
Deer Program
- Duties
- Harvesting of deer per deer manager
- Assisting with guest hunters
- Processing of deer
- Feeding program
- Filling of protein, cottonseed and corn feeders when needed.
- Cleaning feeders completely at least once a year.
- Maintain feed pens
- Tasks requested by deer manager relating to blinds, feeders and deer pens.
Land Management
- Fencing—New and repair if needed
- Check perimeter fence weekly
- Overseeing of pastures and fence lines
- Hand spraying if needed for brush control
- Maintain existing senderos
- Oversee and operate machinery if shredding and mulching of underbrush is required
- Road repairs of non-oil field roads
Oil and Gas
- Communicate with representatives regarding
- Road construction
- Water usage
- Surface damage
- Keep office personal and land owners updated on events at ranch
Budget
- Getting bids and prices for upcoming year
Security
- Communicate with gate company and their guards
Estimated Salary & Benefits: Starting salary is $45,000 annually plus housing.
