Position Title: Ranch Manager
Name of Ranch/Business: C Punch Ranch, Inc.
Location: Lovelock, NV
Position Description: C Punch Ranch is a family owned ranch in Northeast Nevada. It is one of the oldest ranches in the state. Our manager unexpectedly passed away so we are looking to fill the position. We are seeking someone that is driven, self motivated, hands on and willing to treat the ranch and farm as their own. The Ranch has over 1 million acres of permitted grazing and 3,000 acres under cultivation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all farm/ranch operations which will require hands-on manual labor
- Coordinate with owner and employees regarding the development of the cattle operation, including breeding, purchasing, marketing and sales.
- Organize and direct employees’ schedules and projects for maximum efficiency and profitability.
- Manage the hay operation, including planting, cutting, baling, storage, record keeping, marketing and sales.
- Repair and maintain farm/ranch equipment and infrastructures such as fences, pivots, water tanks, diesel tanks, water troughs, housing, buildings, tractors, vehicles.
- Land management and manage BLM relationship.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical skills to repair and operate machinery.
- Valid drivers license and citizen of the United States
- Experience in farming is preferred
- Financial knowledge to deal with budgets, sales, operating expenses
- Knowledge regarding BLM grazing permits and water applications.
- Certified in Pesticide use or able to obtain certification timely
- Honesty, integrity and treat fellow employees with respect
Estimated Salary & Benefits: Salary will be based on experience and qualifications. Employer provides housing and utilities. Employer furnishes a work vehicle. Employer furnishes tools and farm equipment.
