Position Description: Looking for a Ranch Manager with previous experience with cow/calf cattle operations. This hands-on position as a working manager of the ranch, livestock, and property is located in Central New Mexico. Candidate needs to take pride in their work as well as develop a high level of responsibility in the overall management and daily operations of the ranch. Looking for a person with integrity as well as experience with cow/calf operations. Must have a strong skill set, good communication skills, be a self-starter, stable, have a high level of independence, problem solving skills, and a passion for agriculture and ranching. Housing and utilities, a personal vehicle, and care and feed for up to 4 horses will be provided as part of salary. 401K, insurance (medical, vision, and dental), and bonuses also available.

Qualifications: Looking for a trustworthy, honorable, and reliable ranch manager with a strong cow/calf background for a family-owned ranch located in Central New Mexico. A college degree is a plus, but not required. A familiarity with pipelines and pumps is needed. Solar systems are used throughout the ranch for water supplies, so must have some knowledge with solar systems or have a desire to learn about them. Must have an interest in wildlife habitat and maintenance. Will be working with other managers on occasion, so strong communication skills are critical. Will be a point person for any issues that occur throughout the cattle and ranch operation, so organizational skills and record keeping are imperative. Need to have flexibility to work varied hours as needed and take care of equipment, facilities, and livestock. Will be required to pass a pre-employment background check, driving record check, and drug testing.

Responsibilities: Will be performing as lead person for a cow/calf cattle operation. Must be able to identify sick cattle, vaccinate, and have basic veterinary knowledge to treat minor injuries and illness. Good animal husbandry skills and an ability to ride a horse will be required. Will also, on occasion, need to operate equipment such as tractors, trucks, skid steer, bulldozer, etc. Upkeep of barns, cattle pens, fences, water tanks, feed troughs, etc. will be included in the management of the ranch. Ranch also has a wildlife management program that includes the monitoring of elk, deer, and antelope on the ranch.
