Our unique approach to rancher education provides multiple opportunities each year for hands-on, applied learning that covers a wide-range of topics. Through these educational events, we empower ranch owners, employees, and industry stakeholders with skills that will help them strategically manage complex ranching operations and successfully lead our industry.




In-Person & Online Lectureships

The KRIRM lectureship series offers between 4 and 8 lectureships per year and are designed to teach current and dynamic topics in the ranch management industry. Our lectureships apply to a range of people and organizations related to agriculture, from university faculty and students from all disciplines, to stakeholders in the ranching community.

Lectureship Courses are offered online, in-person in Kingsville, Texas, and other locations across the U.S.

HOLT CAT® Symposium on Excellence in Ranch Management

The annual HOLT CAT® Symposium on Excellence in Ranch Management, is held the first Thursday/Friday of November as the highlight event of the year. The symposium features in-depth seminars and training on timely and important issues facing the ranching industry. Past topics have included horse program success on working ranches, succession planning, business management of hunting enterprises, practical stockmanship in ranching, and more.

The Texas Farm Credit Certificate in Advanced Ranch Management, established in 2008 with a generous donation from Texas Farm Credit, prepares ranchers and landowners to deal with complex issues in today’s ever-changing ranching industry.
