Meghan Anderson is employed by Aurora Cooperative Elevator Company as the company’s Beef Cattle Specialist. She works with cow/calf and backgrounding operations, helping them with nutrition and management needs. Meghan is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, where she competed on the equestrian team and earned her B.S. double majoring in animal science and agricultural communications. Meghan also works alongside her husband, Troy and his parents, Roy and Rosemary, on the family’s cow/calf ranch, located near Guide Rock, Neb. The herd consists of purebred and commercial Angus cows. Meghan and Troy also background calves and develop replacement heifers. Meghan and Troy have been married seven years, and have a son, Zane Milton. They are active members of Nebraska Cattlemen and NCBA. Meghan also is a county 4H leader, serves on the state horse advisory committee and is a superintendent at the Nebraska State 4H horse show.
