We are now accepting applications to the Master of Science in Ranch Management program. At the King Ranch® Institute for Ranch Management, we offer the only master’s degree in ranch management in the world. It is uniquely designed to teach a multi-disciplinary, systems approach to ranch management, providing students with an educational experience and network of partnering ranches that is unmatched.

Watch the video below to hear more about the program, curriculum, requirements, and the legacy of our alumni.

At the King Ranch® Institute, we teach experienced ranchers to become progressive leaders and exceptional managers. The curriculum and instruction prepares graduate students to manage complex ranching operations and positively impact the lives of people on those ranches and the communities the ranches support. Along with classroom instruction that sharpens the students’ skills on business, finance, leadership, and the technical side of ranching, the core of the graduate program is built around the service-learning project work.

Since the institute was created and endowed in 2003 in honor of the 150th Anniversary of the legendary King Ranch, our graduate students have become known as the top industry leaders and mangers. Our 38 alumni collectively manage 150,000 breeding cows on nearly 4 million acres of ranchland and wildlife habitat while supervising 425 employees. Our students apply to the institute with ranching experience who want to take that next step in their management career.

Applications will be accepted through March 31, 2019. Selected candidates will receive an annual scholarship between $38,000-$44,000 and would begin the program in August of 2019.
