Malorie Bankhead grew up on her family’s cow-calf ranch in Livermore, California, heavily involved in the local 4-H and FFA groups. She graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communication and an emphasis in animal science. In 2009, Malorie served as the California Beef Ambassador, and in 2010 she served as a member of the National Beef Ambassador Team.
Currently working as California Cattlemen’s Association’s (CCA) director of communications, Malorie manages communication efforts on behalf of CCA in addition to her role as advisor of the California Young Cattlemen’s Committee and co-coordinator of the California Beef Quality Assurance program.
In her spare time, she enjoys tap dancing and helping bridge the gap between consumers and production agriculture via her social media penname, Mal the Beef Gal, and one day might attempt doing both of these things at once.
