Position Title: General Ranch Manager

Position Description: The Noble Research Institute, LLC. is seeking a General Ranch Manager who will supervise and manage the operational assets and personnel of a multiple property, grazing lands-focused beef cattle ranching and research organization. Noble’s goal is to assist farmers and ranchers achieve regenerative land stewardship in beef cattle production with producer profitability. The General Ranch Manager will serve as Noble’s representative and spokesperson for ranch/facility operations

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Range/Pasture Science, Animal Science or relevant resource management degree is required. A masters’ degree in Agricultural Economics, Range/Pasture Science, Animal Science, Business Administration or related field of study is preferred.
- Training in Holistic Resource Management (HRM), Ranching for Profit (RFP), and/or Management Intensive Grazing (MiG) is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years cattle industry experience and extensive hands-on experience in holistic and regenerative grazing management in ranching operations and employee supervision is required.
- Proven record of financial accountability and performance (experience in performing enterprise analysis) is required.
- Proven ability in regenerative agricultural management and managing for soil health principles in grazing lands is required.
- Proven record of increasing leadership responsibility.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the General Ranch Manager include but are not limited to:
Ensure organizationally aligned regenerative agricultural practices and soil health principles are integrated into management plans. Maintain production, economic, accounting and budget records. Conduct enterprise analysis and develop regular organizational reports of activities and progress. Monitor and manage grazing, supplementation and hay feeding records and rainfall records. Ensure cattle health records and processing meets or exceeds BQA guidelines and organizationally aligned processes. Facilitate routine consultation engagements with Noble’s agricultural consultants as well as facilitating routine engagements with research staff with projects on ranches/properties. The General Ranch Manager will also develop educational and professional training for managers and staff and, in conjunction with educational outreach activities, identify and develop educational objectives for producer education and understanding.
