Craig Moss from Hull, IA is the fifth generation to live on and work the Moss family farm. Craig grew up on a dairy and hog farm. He attended South Dakota State University and completed an Animal Science major, was a member of the Livestock Judging Team, and a member of the Meat Animal Evaluation Team. After graduation, Craig worked for Land O Lakes Purina Feeds as a feedlot consultant for almost six years. He worked his way into the family operation during this time.
Today Art Moss & Sons, Inc. is operated by Craig, his wife Hayley, and Craig’s parents, Arlan and Ruth Moss. The business now maintains a 1,000 head feedlot and cattle at another lot, are partners in a farrowing operation and finishes the hogs produced there, and grows corn and soybeans. Craig is in charge of feedlot and farm operations.
He currently serves as a District Director for the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association and is President of the Sioux County Cattlemen’s Association.
Craig and Hayley have two sons; Merritt, 6 years; and McCoy, 4 years. He enjoys spending time with his family, attending cattle shows, and watching the boys ride and show their ponies.
