Ben was raised on a cow-calf operation in Lynnville, TN and grew up working in other agricultural entities for local producers. His collegiate studies were achieved at the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM) where he was on a successful livestock judging team and earned the degrees of B.S. in Animal Science, M.S. in Agricultural Operations and Management and a Master’s in Business Administration.
His professional involvement in the cattle industry has included over fifteen years’ experience with purebred and commercial herd management and direct marketing of feeder cattle for private customers. He also is currently working as the area sales manager for Biozyme Inc. in TN and KY.
On a personal note, Ben currently resides in McMinnville, TN where he runs his cow/calf and stocker operation. He is actively involved in differing organizations across the county, state and country such as the past chair of NCBA’s YPC and county president of YF&R.
