Position Title: Assistant Ranch Manager

Location: Near Beaver, Oklahoma
Position Description:Ranch Manager for a 4 generational ranch located in the Oklahoma panhandle. Operate and oversee a commercial cow and calf operation, manage cattle genetics, rotational grazing, water systems, and wildlife and hunting management.
Qualifications:Experience on a commercial cow/calf operation. Knowledge and experience of cattle handling ease a plus, as well as certification in beef quality assurance. Know how to calve out heifers. This person needs to be proficient in the operation of tractors and skid steers, as well as maintain equipment, ranch vehicles and trailers. A knowledge of well water systems and mechanics is needed. They need to have their own horses, and be proficient at handling cattle from horseback. This position requires management of day help when needed.
Responsibilities:This position will monitor and move cattle through the rotational grazing operation on grazing plan, will manage the health and safety of the cattle, calve out heifers each year, work with the owner on genetic selection of replacement heifers and bull selection, manage and maintain 2 tracks and fences across the ranch, oversee and operate branding, breeding, weaning and all other aspects of the cattle operation. This person will work in conjunction with our ranch manager at our other location, and have good communication with employees and owners.
