Position Title: Ranch Operations Manager
Name of Ranch/Business: Boots Ranch
Location: Alice, TX
Position Description: Manage and maintain 840 acre cattle operation. Determine best practices for current market and environmental conditions. Create annual budget and plan for the ranch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain annual and monthly land and operation plan for the ranch
- Create work schedule and manage 1-2 part time hands
- Maintain hay fields
- Riding the ranch to check cattle, water and any needed repairs/work needing done
- Working cattle when needed
- Taking calves or cows to market
- Keeping records on cattle and ranch repairs and maintenance, including equipment
- Keeping up with grounds, roads around property
Qualifications:
- Love of the ranch life
- Ability to manage part time employees
- Knowledge of stocker/cow calf operation
- Understanding of wild life and wild life management practices
- Ability to operate and maintain ranch equipment
- Record keeping and basic computer skills
Estimated Salary and Benefits: Nice barn apartment and salary based on experience.
