Position Title: Asst. Ranch Manager & Housekeeper / Cook

Location: Del Rio, Texas
Position Description: We have a unique opportunity for a couple to work/live on an 11,000 acre ranch near Langtry, TX. Assistant ranch manager will supervise 1 full time employee.
Qualifications:
- Ranch hand experience is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, including tractor, skid-steer, bulldozer
Responsibilities:

Duties for the Assistant Ranch Manager would include exterior house, lawn/garden/landscape and pool maintenance

Moving of lawn/patio furniture in and out of house as needed

Disposing of garbage via trailer to dump in Del Rio

Grading roads and river edge

Filling deer feeders

Maintaining water irrigation system

Maintaining and utilizing equipment such as tractor/skid steer/bulldozer

Culling deer per TPWD

Receiving directions and instructions for work/projects from Ranch Manager on general ranch work

Duties for housekeeper and cook would include all interior house cleaning, laundry, window cleaning in all ranch houses not occupied by other ranch employees (3 houses/3 apartments only 1 of which is occupied by owner and the rest for guests/hunters but rarely occupied)

Preparation of group meals (owner has a preference for Mexican food) as requested by owner for visiting friends and family, serving and cleanup after dining (this would include grocery shopping for the requested menu)

Receiving directions and instruction for additional projects or requests from Ranch Manager and owners

Every 3rd weekend away from the ranch beginning at the close of the workday on Friday, through Sunday evening unless owner is at the ranch. When owner and family/guests are at the ranch all employees are expected to be available.

Otherwise, physical presence is required at the ranch as it is imperative that there always be someone at the ranch.

- All utilities including electricity, propane, water (well), DirecTv
- Use of ATV for ranch duties and truck for housekeeper for ranch duties
- Use of 2015 Ford F150 for ranch duties
- Harvest and resulting meat from deer culling
- All living expenses covered, except personal food and personal vehicles
Estimated Salary:

Assistant Manager: $35,000 – $40,000/yr. + bonus (as warranted) Cook: $20,000/yr. + bonus (as warranted)
