LECTURESHIPS AND SYMPOSIA

The King Ranch Institute for Ranch Management’s concept of symposia and lectureships was developed as a way to keep our students and faculty up to date on current ranching issues, and to bring in fresh perspectives which might not be available in our current course offerings.

Each year, the King Ranch Institute for Ranch Management hosts the endowed HOLT CAT Symposium on Excellence in Ranch Management in Kingsville, Texas. This forum provides a unique opportunity to learn from experts in the ranching industry in the hospitable manner that has been long practiced in South Texas. Our schedule allows for ample time to network and fellowship with other ranchers and students, and provides opportunities to visit and learn about some famous South Texas ranches.

The goal of the King Ranch Institute for Ranch Management endowed lectureship series is to keep the curriculum of the Institute current and dynamic. They are designed to include Texas A&M University-Kingsville students, faculty and staff from all disciplines and departments, and also interested people from the community, businesses, and other universities. Lectureships will vary from evening or week-long short-courses, to semester-long courses taught by visiting professors on sabbatical. To learn more about our lectureship series, click here>>>
